Put your URL everywhere. Use your usual (and maybe some unusual) methods of communication including stationary, business cards, invoices, faxes, company car or truck, advertising premiums, printed ads. Really anything that helps your site's URL get the right exposure in "real space" will drive traffic to your site.
 
Logos and Slogans. They aren't set it stone but make some good ones the first time.
Spend a lot of time on both, and if you can afford professional advice, it's not a bad idea.
In general, your logo/slogan should be displayed every page of your website.
Consistency is everything!
 
Write right!! Clear and concise writing is paramount to effective communication in your web content, press releases and newsletters. If needed to get some help. Once you get pass the visual aspect of
 the Web you want strong content through out your site.
